I love the park! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. There is a lot to do here including swimming, hiking, camping, and even disc golf! The beach has very reasonable hours and is well maintained. Definitely the best state park I've ever been too.
The campground itself was fine. That being said this place sets up mandatory blocks (some may call them traps) after concerts and stops everyone for an alcohol check. I get the point about safety, but if they really wanted to make it safe they should move the roadblock up the road to where the concert lets out and not just target the paying campers. If they just put a giant sign out front that said something it would not have felt like such a violation. It was insult on top of injury when I came home stone sober and had to deal with that BS.
Clean sites and bathrooms. Good TV reception. Four bar Internet. Convenient to the interstate.
We love camping at this park. The PROBLEM is the staff that work here. We have been coming here for the last 6 years. This year they have a woman working here with reddish hair who is NOT friendly and is down right MISERABLE about everything. They are not keeping up with the cleanliness and supplies in the bathrooms. How do these ROTTEN type people get this job? Who does she know?????
We love this park. Beach is clean, lawn and lots well maintained. Need a campground for a vacation at a great price consider this one. Even if you are doing Niagara falls or Buffalo close enough for a day trip.
