Every site is awesome! They have plenty of shade and privacy from others nearby. The staff is very welcoming and helpful with anything. Can't wait to go back!
Wonderful camping spot. It's not a "roughing it" location, but it is a great spot if you want to be out of the city yet not too far of a drive either. You can chose between wide open spots for a more social camping spot or the more secluded spots completely surrounded by trees. And it was very affordable. My wife and I will stay here again. And again.
I have never stayed at a Campground that was so expensive and had no electric, we only stayed there because we went to a concert at Darien Lake in which we had to pay $ 10 to take a cab to walk across the street, what bothers me is that they charge $65 a night with a $ 25 deposit in which you can't get back till the next morning at 9am, what if you need to head out early? My son pitched a small tent on our campsite and they charged him 40 $ cause thier was two of them, talk about raking you to the coals, it cost $ 105 to stay on a small campsite with no electric,I camp all over NewYork this is the worst , people driving fast thru the park at night after concert I might add, bad experience will never stay again, they are gougers, they take so advantage of people who are going to Darien Lake and want to spend the night, do your self a favor , stay at Darien state park a few miles down the road and take an Uber it will cost $ 25 for a site and they don't charge to put up a tent on the same site, that's what I do, live and learn, nothing nice about this camp ground , ps I never leave reviews so what does that tell ya
Although the owner was very friendly and helpful, this is a very 'clicky' campground. There are no electric hookups unless you are friends of the owner - then you get a line run from the bathhouse to your area. We were treated unkindly for using a generator, which we specifically purchased for camping here and was under their max noise requirement. We did turn it off at night to follow their 'quiet time' rules, but turned it on the next morning around 8:30 AM. All the while we were struggling to make coffee and breakfast, while the adjacent campers had electricity, and we were scoffed at for using it and 'disrupting' their peace. Truly, if this campsite did ever offer electrical hookups, it would be an ideal camping area, but to have left there feeling lousy wasn't called for. Much to our dismay, we found our battery converter was not working and the only way we could get power was through our little generator.
This place is super cute and really clean! i was impresses with how well maintained the place was. bathrooms were clean and cabins were also clean!
